The Lauca Dam - the largest hydroelectric dam in Angola.

It is located in the Province of Kwanza Norte, 282 km from Luanda and provides energy to 8 million inhabitants.

It began to be built in 2012 with the increase in infrastructure. Odebrecht, the company responsible for the construction, hired the services of the AmbiÁfrica Laboratory to carry out microbiological, physicochemical and limnological analyses of the water of the Kwanza River, a control that still continues, although with a different frequency.
